Víctor Jara

Víctor Jara (1932–1973) was a Chilean singer-songwriter whose working life ran from 1959 to 1973. He is best known for his work with Conjunto Cuncumén. The playing sits in protest song and nueva canción chilena. He was born in San Ignacio. He died in Santiago in 1973. His main instruments are guitar and vocals.
