Trademarks, accuracy, liability, and the route by which anything on this site gets corrected.

Trademark notice

All brand names, model names, product names, series names and logos referred to on this site are the trademarks, registered trademarks, or trade names of their respective owners.

They are used here nominatively — that is, to identify the actual product being described, and for no other purpose. Use of a name does not imply any connection between MONOGRAPH and the owner of that name, and does not imply that the owner has reviewed, approved or licensed anything on this site.

MONOGRAPH is an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, licensed by, or in any way officially connected to any guitar, bass, amplifier, effects, accessory or parts manufacturer, distributor, retailer, or publisher. No manufacturer has any editorial input, no manufacturer has seen these pages before publication, and no manufacturer pays for anything on this site.

No manufacturer logo is used as site branding, navigation, decoration or product imagery. Where a logo appears at all, it appears only as part of a photograph taken by someone else and credited to them, and its use in that photograph is not a claim of any licence or association.

MONOGRAPH's own name and its presentation are its own. Names of third-party products are used descriptively and are not claimed in any way.

Accuracy and liability

The information on this site is provided as is, for general reference and interest. It is not professional, engineering, purchasing, legal or safety advice, and it should not be relied on as though it were.

Specifications change. Manufacturers revise specifications without notice, and a figure that was correct for a 2019 instrument may be wrong for the same nameplate in 2024. Always confirm any specification that matters with the manufacturer's own current documentation before acting on it.
Figures are nominal. Published dimensions are usually nominal or rounded. Where a number here is derived rather than cited — a conversion, an arithmetic result — the raw figure and the method are shown next to it, so you can check it yourself. Derived figures inherit whatever error the source figure had.
Individual instruments vary. Two examples of the same model, built in the same year, can differ in weight, feel and measurement. Statements about a model are not statements about the specific instrument in your hands.
Editorial judgement is editorial. Where a page compares two things, the comparison is one description, not a verdict. No page on this site has been paid for, sponsored, or supplied by a manufacturer.
No warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, MONOGRAPH makes no warranty, express or implied, as to accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness for any purpose, and accepts no liability for any loss or damage — including consequential loss — arising from the use of, or reliance on, anything published here.
You are responsible for your own instrument. Any adjustment, modification, repair or setup is done at your own risk. Measurements here are not a substitute for a competent technician.

Links to other sites

Where this site links to a source, a manufacturer, or a third party, the link is provided so you can check the claim yourself. MONOGRAPH does not control those sites, does not endorse their content, and is not responsible for it. Links to an external page are not an assertion that its content is accurate, nor are they a commercial referral: there are no affiliate links on this site, and no link here earns the operator anything.

Correction policy

Corrections are wanted, not tolerated. The policy is:

Report it. Write to corrections@myguitarnotes.com with the page address, the sentence or figure at issue, and — if you have one — a source. A manufacturer's own documentation, a manual, or a photograph with a scale is ideal; a press release is acceptable; a forum post is not.
Acknowledgement. Reports are acknowledged, and the target is to reach a decision within 7 days.
One of three outcomes. The claim is corrected and the correction is noted on the page; the claim is qualified, with the disagreement stated in the entry; or the claim is withdrawn, with the page edited to remove it. Silence is not an outcome.
Contested rights content comes down first. If a licence, credit, or ownership question is raised about text or an image, the material is removed on request and reinstated only if it turns out to be properly licensed or properly credited. The order is removal, then discussion — not the reverse.
What we cannot fix. We will not change a sourced, correct fact because a party would prefer a different figure. If a claim is accurate and properly sourced and you disagree with it, the answer is a qualified entry that states the disagreement, not a silent edit.

Those three outcomes and that refusal are the whole editorial independence of this site: no manufacturer, retailer or agency can have a correct claim removed, and any reader can have an incorrect one removed.

Copyright and licence complaints

If you are a copyright or licence holder and believe material on this site infringes your rights, write to rights@myguitarnotes.com and include: your name and contact details; identification of the work; the exact address of the material complained of; a statement that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them; and a statement that the information is accurate. Material that is the subject of a complaint is taken down promptly pending review, and the page is rebuilt without it. Where the complaint concerns a piece of open-licensed content, we will also correct the credit and restore the material if it was properly licensed — this site has no interest in using anything it cannot credit correctly.
