Guitar polish
A cleaning and shining product formulated for instrument finishes, used to remove fingerprints and light grime.
Different finishes need different treatment: a modern polyurethane finish tolerates most gentle polishes, while a thin nitrocellulose lacquer or a French-polished top can be softened or clouded by solvents and silicones. The safe routine is a soft cloth with the smallest possible amount of a product specified for the finish, worked in small areas and buffed off before it dries. Polish should never be used on bare wood, on a matte finish or on damaged surfaces, where it simply collects in the cracks.
Example: A guitar body rubbed down with a microfibre cloth and a little finish-safe polish comes up clean and glossy.
