Wall hanger
A bracket fixed to a wall that holds a guitar by the headstock so it hangs clear of the floor.
A wall hanger saves floor space and keeps instruments visible and therefore played, but it also exposes them to whatever the room is doing. A guitar hung near a radiator, a window or an air-conditioning vent can dry out or swell, and a wall hanger on a poorly insulated external wall can be worse than leaving the instrument in its case. Hangers fitted into plasterboard need proper fixings, because the cost of a failure is a broken headstock.
Example: A guitar hanging by its headstock from a padded bracket screwed to a wall is on a wall hanger.
