Bunker Touch Guitar

The Bunker Touch Guitar is a touch-style instrument developed by the American builder and player Dave Bunker, whose instruments of this kind date back to the middle of the twentieth century. A touch guitar is played by tapping the strings with both hands rather than plucking them, which allows chords and melody to be produced independently and opens up wide two-handed voicings. Bunker's designs include instruments with more than one neck and with frets laid out to support tapping. It is a specialist instrument, built in small numbers for players who work in that technique rather than a mass-produced model.
