Epiphone Coronet

The Epiphone Coronet is an entry-level solid-body electric guitar from the company's early era. It was introduced as part of a group of simple, inexpensive models in the late 1950s, alongside the similar Wilshire and Crestwood, and built with a slab body, one or two pickups and a straightforward bolt-on or set neck. Epiphone has reissued the Coronet in later decades, and guitars of this kind are valued today as examples of the lean, no-frills electric design of the period, and for a bright, direct tone that suits garage rock and blues.
