Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II
The Epiphone Les Paul Ultra II is a version of the single-cutaway solid-body shape that adds a second pickup system to the usual humbuckers. Alongside the magnetic pickups it carries a separate transducer mounted to produce a more acoustic-like tone, switchable from the body, which gives a player a clean, wiry string sound as well as the standard electric voices in one instrument. The Ultra models were offered with weight-relieved bodies and a slim neck, and the later Ultra versions were also fitted with a USB output for recording directly to a computer.
