ESP James Hetfield
ESP's James Hetfield models are a range of electric guitars based on the custom instruments built for the Metallica guitarist and singer. They follow the shapes he has used on stage and in the studio, principally single-cutaway and Explorer-derived designs, with heavy mahogany bodies, two humbucking pickups, a single volume and tone control, and finishes drawn from the graphic and battered schemes of his personal guitars. Versions have been offered across ESP's Japanese production and the lower-priced LTD range, and the model names are usually taken from the nicknames of the individual guitars they reproduce.
