Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass

The Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass is a version of the Jazz Bass made by Fender Japan, introduced in the 2000s. It combines the familiar slim Jazz Bass neck with a bound, carved basswood body that carries no pickguard, giving a cleaner, more sculpted appearance than the standard instrument, and it is normally fitted with a split-coil Precision-style pickup at the middle and a single-coil Jazz pickup at the bridge, with the usual volume and tone controls. It is used for the same broad range of music as the standard Jazz Bass, with a lighter body and a distinctive look.
