Fender Bantam Bass
The Fender Bantam Bass is a bass amplifier from the late 1960s and 1970s, part of Fender's range of amplifiers for bass players. It is remembered mainly for its unusual loudspeaker, which used a moulded cone of a different material from the paper drivers of the time, an experiment that has since made the amplifier difficult to keep running because replacements are scarce. Otherwise it follows Fender's practice of the period, with a valve preamp and output section, a simple control panel and a single speaker in a closed cabinet, aimed at the modest volumes of club work.
