Fender Duo-Sonic
The Fender Duo-Sonic is a solid-body student electric guitar introduced in the mid 1950s. It has a compact body with a short scale length of twenty-two and a half inches, two single-coil pickups in the earlier version, a simple volume and tone control and a straightforward bolt-on neck, which made it comfortable for young players and cheap to build. A later version used a longer scale. The Duo-Sonic was reissued in the 1990s and again in later years, and its small body and bright tone have given it a following among players who like short-scale guitars.
