Jackson Kelly

The Jackson Kelly is the company's version of the Explorer, a modified angular solid body with sharply pointed horns, developed in the 1980s. It has a thin, fast neck joined high on the body for access to the upper frets, two high-output humbucking pickups and a locking vibrato bridge on most versions, and it was designed for hard rock and metal, where the shape and the hardware suit aggressive playing. It has been produced in many versions, including imported instruments under the Jackson name, and it remains one of the brand's better known shapes.
