Mars-Tronic
Mars-Tronic is an onboard preamp system for electric guitars, catalogued here as a component rather than as a guitar. Onboard preamps are small electronic circuits fitted inside an instrument to boost its output and provide additional tone shaping, generally powered by a battery, and they are used where a passive pickup arrangement does not give enough level or enough control over the sound. Systems of this kind are installed by makers or added to existing guitars, and the source record here gives the product name and its function without a detailed specification.
