Roland Jupiter-8

The Roland Jupiter-8 is the analogue polyphonic synthesizer the company introduced in 1981, and it is regarded as one of the finest instruments of its kind. It plays eight notes at once with two oscillators per voice, offers a comprehensive panel of sliders and switches for direct control, includes sophisticated modulation, arpeggio and unison arrangements for its period, and can store a large number of sounds. Its rich, powerful tone made it a staple of the popular music of the 1980s, and it is highly valued by collectors and by players of analogue synthesizers today.
