Schecter Synyster Custom-S
The Schecter Synyster Custom-S is a signature electric guitar built for Synyster Gates, the guitarist of the American band Avenged Sevenfold. It is a solid-body instrument with a set neck, a pair of humbucking pickups, a vibrato bridge and gold hardware, decorated with the pinstripe and graphic schemes associated with the player, and the S in its designation marks the fitting of a sustaining device that drives the strings electromagnetically so that a note can be held indefinitely, controlled from the guitar. It is built for the harmonised lead work and heavy rhythm playing of his band.
