Status Buzzard
The Status Buzzard is an electric bass designed with John Entwistle, the bassist of the English band The Who, and built by Status Graphite, the British maker known for instruments with moulded graphite bodies and necks. Its body has a jagged, aggressive outline unlike anything else in production, and the graphite construction gives a stiff, resonant instrument with a clear and powerful voice and considerable stability against changes in temperature and humidity. It was taken up by other bassists as well as its original player, and it is one of the more distinctive designs to come out of the British bass scene.
