Yamaha P series
The Yamaha P series is the company's line of digital pianos and stage pianos. Instruments in the series generate the sound of a piano electronically, using recorded samples processed to reproduce the behaviour of an acoustic instrument, and they are built with weighted, hammer-action keyboards that give a feel close to that of a real piano; the stage versions are portable and add a range of other voices, effects and controller functions. The name covers many models of different sizes, from compact instruments for home practice to professional keyboards for performance.
