Yamaha Pacifica
The Yamaha Pacifica is the company's best known series of electric guitars, introduced in the early 1990s. Instruments in the range take the superstrat shape, with a solid contoured body, a bolt-on neck and a pickup arrangement that usually pairs humbucking and single-coil units to cover a wide range of sounds, together with a vibrato or fixed bridge. The series runs from inexpensive instruments for beginners to higher-specification models, and its combination of good construction, sensible specification and low price has made it one of the most recommended first electric guitars for decades.
