Yamaha Reface
The Yamaha Reface is a series of four compact synthesizers introduced in the middle of the 2010s, each reproducing a different part of the company's history: a virtual analogue instrument modelled on its analogue polysynths, a digital FM instrument following its frequency modulation line, a stage piano with electric piano voices, and a drawbar organ. Each has a small keyboard with a quality feel, mini keys and an internal speaker, and each can be used as a controller for computer software. The series makes accessible both the sounds and the operating methods of the instruments it honours.
