Blackie
Blackie is the Fender Stratocaster that Eric Clapton played as his main electric guitar through most of the 1970s. He assembled it himself from parts bought separately in Nashville and London, then used it on record and on stage throughout the decade, which is why it is one of the most photographed Stratocasters in existence. Its battered, taped-together finish became part of its identity. Clapton retired the guitar in the 1980s, and in 2004 it was sold at auction in aid of his Crossroads addiction treatment centre, fetching a record price for a guitar at the time.
