Boss Chorus Ensemble
Chorus Ensemble is the name Boss gave to its chorus effects, beginning with the CE-1 of the mid 1970s, the company's first pedal. That original unit was a large mains-powered floor pedal derived from the Roland JC-120 Jazz Chorus amplifier's built-in effect, with a rich, wide modulation and a vibrato mode. The name was carried forward on the compact CE-2, CE-3 and CE-5 models, which made the same shimmer available in a small battery-powered box. This entry covers the family rather than a single unit, so individual production dates differ across the range.
