Boss RC-1

The Boss RC-1 Loop Station is a compact phrase looper introduced in the mid 2010s as the smallest and simplest model in Boss's Loop Station line. It stores a phrase recorded from the guitar and plays it back in a repeating loop while the player adds parts over the top, with a footswitch starting, overdubbing and stopping, and a circular indicator showing the loop position and whether recording or playback is active. It also has an input for a second footswitch. The design suits songwriters sketching arrangements and solo performers building textures live on stage.
