Eric Clapton Crashocaster
The Eric Clapton Crashocaster is one of a group of Stratocasters painted in graffiti style by the American artist John Matos, known as Crash, and connected with Eric Clapton's Crossroads charity auctions. The guitars were built by Fender as one-off or limited instruments and then decorated with Matos's sprayed, stencilled artwork on the bodies, which gives each example a graphic, urban finish unlike any standard catalogue paint job. They combine a conventional Stratocaster platform with a gallery-style paint treatment and were sold to raise money for Clapton's addiction treatment work.
