Eric Clapton Stratocaster
The Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster is the signature model Fender has built for the English guitarist since the late 1980s. It differs from a standard Stratocaster in several deliberate ways: a soft V-shaped neck profile based on his preferences, three noiseless single-coil pickups, and an active mid-boost circuit with a tone control that can be rolled back for a warmer voice, giving a fatter, more sustained sound than a stock instrument. Fender offers it in the colour schemes Clapton favours, most famously black, and it has been in production continuously since its introduction.
