ESP EC series
The ESP EC series is the single-cutaway family in the ESP Guitars range, the line usually sold as the Eclipse. These are solid-body guitars with a set neck and a carved top, shaped along the lines of the classic American single-cut design but with a thinner body, a deeper cutaway carried further up the neck, and sharper body contours, so that upper-fret access is easier. They are normally built with two humbucking pickups and a tune-o-matic style bridge, and versions are offered in the imported LTD range as well as in ESP's higher Japanese and custom-built lines. They suit hard rock and metal, where the shape and the pickup layout are used for heavy rhythm playing.
