ESP KH-603
The ESP KH-603 is a later variant in the lower-priced section of the Kirk Hammett signature line, positioned alongside the KH-602. Like its stablemates it is a superstrat with a pointed, contoured body, active humbucking pickups and a locking vibrato bridge, decorated with the inlays and graphics of Hammett's own guitars. The different numbers denote successive revisions in hardware, finish options and country of manufacture rather than fundamentally different instruments. It exists to give players the Metallica guitarist's specification at a price that the Japanese-built versions do not.
