ESP Stef Carpenter
The ESP Stef Carpenter models are the instruments ESP builds for Stephen Carpenter, guitarist of the Californian band Deftones. They are single-cutaway guitars with carved, contoured bodies, a simplified control layout and high-output humbucking pickups, and they have been offered as six-string, seven-string and baritone instruments, since Carpenter works extensively in low tunings. The line has appeared in the Japanese range and, at several specification levels, in the LTD range, where the lower model numbers provide a cheaper route to the same shape and feel.
