Evo
Evo is the name Steve Vai gave to the guitar that became his principal stage and recording instrument. It is an Ibanez JEM, the superstrat Vai designed with the company, and it carries the features associated with that model: a contoured body with a monkey grip cut through the upper section, a deeply scalloped lower cutaway, a locking vibrato bridge, high-output humbucking pickups and an elaborate vine pattern running up the fretboard. Evo, easily recognised by its fluorescent green finish with pink and gold details, has been used on a great many of Vai's records and performances.
