Fender Cyclone

The Fender Cyclone is a series of electric guitars first produced in the 1990s, taking the compact, offset-waist body of the Mustang and fitting it with a longer scale, a pair of humbucking pickups in the original version and a synchronised tremolo. The result is a small guitar with a fuller, thicker electric voice than the student models it derives from, and it was offered in several versions before being reintroduced in modified form. The Cyclone sits in the long Fender tradition of using the short-scale offset shapes as the basis for instruments built to a different specification.
