Fender G-DEC

The Fender G-DEC is a digital modelling practice amplifier Fender introduced in the 2000s. Instead of valves and a single tone stack it uses digital signal processing to produce a range of amplifier models and effects, together with built-in rhythm patterns and backing loops that a player can use for practice, all selected through a small display and a set of controls, with an output for headphones and a connection for recording. It is designed for home practice rather than performance, where its variety of sounds and its backing tracks are more useful than raw volume.
