Fender King
The Fender King is an American flat-top acoustic guitar Fender produced from 1963 to 1971. It is a large dreadnought-style instrument with a solid top, a bolt-on neck of the kind Fender used across its acoustic range as a way of building guitars cheaply and consistently, and a distinctive Fender headstock and bridge. The King and the related models of the period were Fender's attempt to compete in the acoustic market dominated by other American makers; the model was later sold under the Kingman name, and Fender has revisited these acoustic designs in reissues.
