My Guitar Notes

Fender Prosonic

The Fender Prosonic is a valve guitar amplifier introduced in the late 1990s. It is a combo amplifier with a single twelve-inch speaker, two channels covering clean and heavily overdriven sounds, and a control set including separate gain arrangements and reverb, and it was designed to offer the kind of high-gain valve tone that specialist amplifiers of the period provided. Its circuit used valves throughout the preamp, and the amplifier was offered with different output valve types, following a fad of the time. It was produced for only a few years.
