Fender Squier Precision Bass
The Squier Precision Bass is the version of the Precision Bass built under Squier, the brand Fender uses for its lower-priced instruments. It carries the essential parts of the design: the offset body, the split-coil hum-cancelling pickup, a bolt-on neck, and volume and tone controls, and it is produced in the Far East at a fraction of the cost of the American instruments. Squier basses of this kind are a standard first instrument and a common choice as a spare, and they account for a large share of the basses used by beginners and semi-professional players.
