Fender Stratocaster American Standard

The Fender American Standard Stratocaster was the main American-production Stratocaster from the late 1980s into the 2000s. It followed a redesign of the model that introduced a two-point synchronised vibrato with modern saddles, a fuller neck profile and a flatter fingerboard radius, a micro-tilt neck adjustment, and a set of pickups with better consistency than the instruments of the preceding decades. Successive revisions added further refinements, and the series served as the reference instrument against which Fender's other Stratocasters were positioned until it was renamed.
