Fender Swinger
The Fender Swinger is a small electric guitar Fender produced briefly at the end of the 1960s, assembled from parts of other student models. It uses the compact body of the Musicmaster and Duo-Sonic with a neck taken from the Mustang, a single pickup and a simple control layout, so the instrument has the short scale and small dimensions of the student line while looking slightly out of proportion. Because Fender used up existing parts to build it, and because it was dropped after a short run, the Swinger is now a rare and somewhat eccentric item in the company's history.
