Fender Telecaster Thinline
The Fender Telecaster Thinline is a semi-hollow version of the Telecaster introduced in the late 1960s, designed with the German-born luthier Roger Rossmeisl. The body is hollowed out inside and given an f-hole, which reduces the weight of the instrument and adds air and resonance to its sound, and the first version used two single-coil pickups while a later version of the 1970s carried wide-range humbuckers. It is prized by players who want the shape and feel of a Telecaster with a lighter body and a slightly fuller, more open tone, and Fender has reissued it many times.
