Fender Zone Bass
The Fender Zone Bass is an electric bass from Fender's range of the 2000s, produced in the Far East as a modern, active instrument outside the traditional Precision and Jazz lines. It has a solid body of contemporary outline, a slim neck, a set of high-output pickups and an active preamp with extra tone controls, which gives a wide range of shaping and a bright, punchy sound suited to rock and to amplified modern music generally. Basses of this kind were sold alongside the classic models to players who wanted something other than the traditional passive designs.
