Gibson Advanced Jumbo

The Gibson Advanced Jumbo is a large flat-top acoustic guitar introduced by Gibson in the 1930s and made only in small numbers before the Second World War. It uses a long scale length with a slope-shouldered body and rosewood back and sides, a combination that produces a powerful, well balanced and unusually articulate sound with strong bass and clear treble, and the original examples are among the most prized of all American flat-tops. Gibson has reissued the model in later decades, and it remains one of the most respected dreadnought designs the company has built.
