Gibson ES-125
The Gibson ES-125 is an archtop electric guitar Gibson produced from the 1940s into the 1970s, one of the company's most straightforward electrics. It has a laminated maple body with a single cutaway on the later versions, one pickup in the earlier examples and two on some versions, with a simple control layout, and it was sold at a low price as an entry into amplified playing. Its warm, slightly boxy tone suits jazz, blues and rhythm playing, and the model is a common first archtop for players looking for a vintage instrument at a reasonable cost.
