Gibson ES-250

The Gibson ES-250 is an archtop electric guitar from the late 1930s, the successor to the ES-150 in the company's range. It has the same general body form as its predecessor but with an enlarged lower bout, a more elaborate finish and a different pickup arrangement, offering a stronger and somewhat darker sound than the simpler model. It was produced in modest numbers and for only a few years before the war, and it is now rare, collected as one of the earliest steps in the development of the electric archtop guitar and of Gibson's amplified range.
