Gibson ES-225

The Gibson ES-225 is a thinline hollow-body electric guitar Gibson produced in the middle and late 1950s. It is a fully hollow instrument of shallow depth with a single cutaway on some versions, and it carries one or two P-90 single-coil pickups with a simple control layout, together with a distinctive trapeze tailpiece. The thin body and the single-coil pickups give a bright, airy tone with some acoustic quality, and the model is remembered as one of the earliest thinline electrics Gibson made and as an example of the company's range in that period.
