Gibson G3
The Gibson G3 is an electric bass Gibson produced from the mid 1970s, a version of its Grabber design with a different pickup arrangement. It carries three single-coil pickups, which can be selected in various combinations by a rotary switch, together with a control layout offering a wide range of tones from thin and bright to full and rounded, in contrast to the single sliding pickup of the Grabber. The instrument has a solid body, a bolt-on neck and a maple construction, and it is used in rock and funk, with a clear, punchy character that suits both fingerstyle and picked playing.
