Gibson Les Paul 54 Custom Bigsby

The Gibson Les Paul 54 Custom Bigsby is a reissue of the Les Paul Custom as it was made in 1954, fitted with a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece. It has the black-finished body with gold-plated hardware and an ebony fretboard with block inlays that distinguish the Custom from the Standard, the combination of a P-90 pickup at the bridge with a different single-coil unit at the neck, and mahogany construction with a carved top. The Bigsby unit, which allows the pitch of the strings to be bent with a hinged arm, changes the feel and tuning behaviour of the instrument and adds to its period character.
