Gibson Les Paul 57 Custom
The Gibson Les Paul 57 Custom is a reissue of the Les Paul Custom as it was made in 1957. By that year the model had acquired the pair of humbucking pickups that are now standard on the design, while keeping the black finish, the gold hardware and the ebony fretboard with block inlays that mark it out from the Standard. Instruments of this kind are built by Gibson's Custom Shop to the specification of the period, with period-correct parts, wiring and finishes, and they are used by players who want the darker, fuller voice the Custom is known for.
