Gibson Les Paul Classic

The Gibson Les Paul Classic is a version of the single-cutaway solid-body guitar introduced in the early 1990s and aimed at players who wanted the look of a late 1950s instrument with a more modern specification. It has a slim neck profile, a pair of high-output humbucking pickups rather than the lower output units of the reissues, and a control arrangement that in some versions allowed the pickups to be split or combined for extra sounds, together with the plain top and finishes of the period it imitates. It is used widely in rock for its combination of the classic shape and an aggressive voice.
