Gibson Victory Bass

The Gibson Victory Bass is an electric bass introduced in the early 1980s, part of a series of instruments with modern body shapes the company sold in that period. It has a solid body with a distinctive angular outline, a bolt-on neck and one or two humbucking pickups, with active electronics on some versions offering a wider range of tone control than the traditional passive basses. It was produced for only a few years and is now uncommon, and it is of interest as an example of Gibson's efforts to modernise its bass range at a difficult time for the company.
