Gretsch G6131MY
The Gretsch G6131MY is a signature model built for Malcolm Young, the guitarist of the Australian rock band AC/DC. It is a version of the Jet Firebird, the chambered solid-body instrument he used for decades, with two filter-style pickups, a simplified control layout, the master volume and tone switch characteristic of the design and, in the incarnation produced for him, a double-cutaway body. Its voice is bright and percussive with a hollow edge, which suits the heavy, rhythmic playing for which he is known, and Gretsch has produced the model in his name since the 2000s.
