Gretsch G6131
The Gretsch G6131 is the catalogue number of the Jet Firebird, a chambered solid-body guitar in Gretsch's Jet series. It has the small, arched-top body of the Jet design, a set neck and two filter-style pickups, and it is finished in a red-to-black sunburst that gives it its name, with the master volume and tone switch of the range and, on many examples, a vibrato tailpiece. The Jets combine a solid-feeling body with a distinctive hollow snap, and the Firebird version has been used widely in rock, with an association with the Australian band AC/DC.
