Jackson Soloist

The Jackson Soloist is the neck-through superstrat that established the brand. Introduced in the 1980s, it has a contoured solid body with the neck and centre section cut as a single piece and the sides glued on, an arrangement that gives stiffness, sustain and unimpeded access to the upper frets, and it is normally built with twenty-four frets on a flat fingerboard, high-output pickups and a locking vibrato bridge. Its combination of a fast neck and a stable tremolo made it a standard instrument for the technical metal playing of the period, and it remains in production.
