Marshall The Guv''nor
The Marshall Guv'nor is a compact distortion pedal introduced at the end of the 1980s and one of the more highly regarded British pedals of its period. It offers gain, volume and a full tone section of bass, middle and treble, allowing the player to shape a distortion close to the sound of a driven valve amplifier, from a warm crunch to a heavier, sustained drive. Its circuit and its enclosure have made it a long-standing favourite, and Marshall has since produced later versions of the design under different names.
